Can you route it through your laptop and then use headphones? That’s what I do - plug in the line in jack into my line in port (and you can get cables that have RCA to line in), and then just use my headphones.
I didn’t even know that was possible! I just got a laptop a few weeks ago, so I will certainly see if I can pull it off.

What system are you running? I know on a Mac you need a program called “Line In” but it’s free and very easy to use. I don’t know about Windows, though.
